Description

This steakhouse style surf and turf delivers incredible flavor with tender, juicy steak and sweet, succulent lobster, perfect for special occasions and celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale

2 (8-ounce) Filet mignon or ribeye steaks
2 (6-8 ounce) Lobster tails
6 tablespoons Unsalted butter, divided
4 cloves Garlic, minced
2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons Olive oil
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 teaspoon Paprika

Instructions

  1. Remove steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking. Pat them dry and season with salt and black pepper
  2. Prepare the lobster tails by cutting through the top shell lengthwise and pulling the meat upward
  3. Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over high heat and sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes without moving them
  4. Flip the steaks, add 2 tablespoons of butter, and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare
  5. While the steaks rest, preheat your broiler and prepare the lobster tails with melted butter, paprika, salt, and pepper
  6. Broil lobster tails for 8-10 minutes until the meat is opaque and slightly golde
  7. Prepare garlic butter sauce by melting remaining butter, adding minced garlic, and stirring in lemon juice and parsley
  8. Plate each steak alongside a lobster tail, drizzle with garlic butter sauce, and serve immediately

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to ensure steaks are cooked to your desired doneness.

Rest the steaks for 5-10 minutes before serving to allow juices to redistribute.
