Description
These no bake chocolate peanut butter Christmas trees combine the irresistible flavor combination of chocolate and peanut butter into festive holiday shapes that everyone adores. They are quick to make, fun for kids, and perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
1 cup Creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup Unsalted butter, softened
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
2 cups Powdered sugar
1/2 cup Graham cracker crumbs
2 cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons Coconut oil
A few drops Green food coloring (optional)
Sprinkles and decorations (as desired)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and softened butter. Mix until smooth and creamy
- Add the vanilla extract and mix thoroughly. Gradually incorporate the powdered sugar, mixing well after each additio
- Fold in the graham cracker crumbs until the mixture is moldable
- Take about two tablespoons of the mixture and roll it into a ball, then shape it into a cone to resemble a Christmas tree
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and repeat until all the mixture is used
- Refrigerate the shaped trees for at least 30 minutes
- Melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together until smooth
- Dip each chilled tree into the melted chocolate, coating completely
- Immediately add sprinkles and decorations while the chocolate is still wet
- Refrigerate again for 15 minutes until the chocolate sets completely
Notes
Make sure your butter is properly softened, not melted.
Wet your hands slightly with cold water when shaping the trees to prevent sticking.
Use a toothpick inserted at the bottom of each tree to help with dipping.
