Description
These Halloween Dracula dark cherry fudges are rich, indulgent treats featuring dark chocolate and tart cherry swirls, perfect for Halloween celebrations.
Ingredients
3 cups Dark chocolate chips (70% cocoa)
1 can (14 oz) Sweetened condensed milk
2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1/2 cup Dark cherry preserves
3–4 drops Red food coloring (optional)
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 cup Dried cherries, chopped
Instructions
- Step 1: Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on the sides for easy removal
- Step 2: Combine the dark chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and salt in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Place over low heat, stirring constantly until everything melts together smoothly, about 5-7 minutes
- Step 3: Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Pour about three-quarters of this chocolate mixture into your prepared pan, spreading it evenly
- Step 4: Mix the cherry preserves with red food coloring if using. Drop spoonfuls of the cherry mixture over the chocolate layer
- Step 5: Pour the remaining chocolate mixture over the cherry layer. Use a butter knife or skewer to create swirls
- Step 6: Sprinkle the chopped dried cherries over the top, pressing them gently into the surface. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until completely firm
- Step 7: Lift the fudge out using the parchment overhang. Cut into small squares with a sharp knife
