Ingredients
4 slices Thick-sliced bread (Texas toast or Italian bread)
3 tablespoons Softened butter
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
2 cloves Fresh minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon Dried parsley
1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Mix the softened butter with garlic powder, minced fresh garlic, and dried parsley in a small bowl until combined
- Spread the garlic butter generously on one side of each bread slice
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat
- Place two bread slices butter-side down in the skillet and sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly over them
- Top with the remaining bread slices, butter-side up, and press down gently
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and crispy, then flip and cook another 3-4 minutes until the second side is golden and cheese is melted
- Remove from heat and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top while still hot
- Let rest for one minute before slicing
