Description

These elegant lemon marbled cheesecake bars combine tangy lemon and smooth vanilla for a heavenly flavor profile. They are visually stunning and surprisingly simple to make, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

2 cups Graham cracker crumbs
½ cup Melted butter
1 cup Granulated sugar
24 oz Cream cheese
3 Large eggs
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
¼ cup Fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons Lemon zest
½ cup Sour cream
23 drops Yellow food coloring (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F. Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and ¼ cup sugar in a bowl. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 10 minutes
  3. Beat cream cheese and ¾ cup sugar together until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract and sour cream
  4. Pour about two-thirds of the batter over the cooled crust. To the reserved batter, add lemon juice, lemon zest, and food coloring. Mix well
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the lemon batter over the vanilla layer and swirl with a toothpick
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the edges are set but the center jiggles slightly. Cool in the oven for 1 hour
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for a smooth batter.

Don't overbake to prevent dryness.

Fresh lemon juice is recommended for the best flavor.
