Description

These dipped sugar cookies are simple yet elegant, perfect for any occasion. They are versatile, customizable, and maintain a perfect texture, making them a favorite for gatherings and gifts.

Ingredients

Scale

2¾ cups All-purpose flour
1 teaspoon Baking soda
½ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Unsalted butter (softened)
1½ cups Granulated sugar
2 Large eggs
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
2 cups Chocolate chips or candy melts
Sprinkles or toppings as desired

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper
  2. Step 2: Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. Set aside
  3. Step 3: Beat the softened butter and sugar together in a large bowl using an electric mixer until light and fluffy
  4. Step 4: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract
  5. Step 5: Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix on low speed until just combined
  6. Step 6: Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets
  7. Step 7: Bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges turn lightly golden. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack
  8. Step 8: Once cooled, melt your chocolate or candy melts in the microwave in 30-second intervals until smooth
  9. Step 9: Dip each cookie halfway into the melted coating, let excess drip off, and place on parchment paper. Add sprinkles or toppings immediately
  10. Step 10: Allow the coating to harden completely, about 30 minutes at room temperature or 10 minutes in the refrigerator

Notes

Use room temperature butter and eggs for better incorporation.

Chill the dough if it feels too soft before rolling.

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
