Description

Deviled egg Christmas trees are a festive twist on classic deviled eggs, combining creamy, tangy filling with a playful holiday presentation. Perfect for gatherings, these appetizers are easy to make and customizable to suit various dietary needs.

Ingredients

Scale

12 Large eggs
1/3 cup Mayonnaise
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon White vinegar
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
Few drops Green food coloring
12 small Cherry tomatoes
Fresh chives (optional)
Small candy decorations (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a large pot, cover with cold water, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and let sit covered for 12 minutes
  2. Transfer eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes, then peel and slice in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a mixing bowl
  3. Mash yolks and mix with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth. Add green food coloring to achieve desired shade
  4. Pipe the filling into egg whites to create a tree shape. Top with cherry tomatoes and optional decorations
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving

Notes

Use older eggs for easier peeling.

Piping bag can be substituted with a plastic bag with a snipped corner.

Assemble deviled eggs shortly before serving for best freshness.
