Description
Deviled egg Christmas trees are a festive twist on classic deviled eggs, combining creamy, tangy filling with a playful holiday presentation. Perfect for gatherings, these appetizers are easy to make and customizable to suit various dietary needs.
Ingredients
12 Large eggs
1/3 cup Mayonnaise
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon White vinegar
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
Few drops Green food coloring
12 small Cherry tomatoes
Fresh chives (optional)
Small candy decorations (optional)
Instructions
- Place eggs in a large pot, cover with cold water, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and let sit covered for 12 minutes
- Transfer eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes, then peel and slice in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a mixing bowl
- Mash yolks and mix with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth. Add green food coloring to achieve desired shade
- Pipe the filling into egg whites to create a tree shape. Top with cherry tomatoes and optional decorations
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving
Notes
Use older eggs for easier peeling.
Piping bag can be substituted with a plastic bag with a snipped corner.
Assemble deviled eggs shortly before serving for best freshness.
