This cream cheese cinnamon sugar rolls easy recipe delivers all the gooey, sweet goodness of traditional cinnamon rolls without the fuss. Perfect for lazy weekends or special occasions, these rolls are quick to make and incredibly delicious.
Ingredients
2 cups All-purpose flour
1 tablespoon Baking powder
2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon Salt
3/4 cup Milk
4 tablespoons Butter, melted
8 oz Cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup Brown sugar
2 tablespoons Ground cinnamo
1 cup Powdered sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk together
- In a separate bowl, mix the milk and melted butter. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a soft dough forms
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently about 5-6 times until smooth
- Roll the dough into a large rectangle, approximately 12×18 inches and about 1/4 inch thick
- Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and spread it evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges
- Mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle this mixture over the cream cheese layer
- Starting from the long side, roll the dough into a tight log and cut it into 12 equal pieces
- Place the rolls cut-side up in the prepared baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brow
- Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, a splash of milk, and vanilla extract. Drizzle it over the warm rolls as soon as they come out of the ove
Notes
Make sure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easy spreading.
Use dental floss to cut the rolls for clean cuts without squishing them.
Apply the glaze while the rolls are still warm for the best texture.
