¾ cup Granulated sugar
¾ cup Light brown sugar, packed
2 Large eggs
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
2¼ cups All-purpose flour
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Salt
2 cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides
- Step 2: Cream the softened butter with both sugars in a large bowl using an electric mixer on medium speed for about 3 minutes until light and fluffy
- Step 3: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract
- Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt
- Step 5: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined
- Step 6: Fold in the chocolate chips using a wooden spoon or spatula
- Step 7: Press the dough evenly into your prepared pa
- Step 8: Bake for 25-30 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the center looks slightly underdone
- Step 9: Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack, then cut into 16 squares
