Description

This chai tea latte easy recipe for morning energy transforms your morning routine with simple ingredients and provides a warm, comforting drink that rivals coffee shop offerings.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup Water
2 bags Black tea
1 cup Whole milk
1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamo
1/4 teaspoon Ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon Ground cardamom
1/8 teaspoon Ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
2 tablespoons Honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Bring one cup of water to a boil in a small saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat and add your two black tea bags. Let them steep for 5 minutes
  2. Step 2: While the tea steeps, combine all your ground spices in a small bowl. Mix the cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and cloves together
  3. Step 3: Remove the tea bags from the water and squeeze them gently. Add your spice mixture to the hot tea and stir well
  4. Step 4: In a separate small saucepan, heat your milk over medium heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and your sweetener of choice
  5. Step 5: Use a handheld frother or whisk to froth the milk for about 30 seconds
  6. Step 6: Pour the spiced tea concentrate into your mug, add the warm, frothed milk, and stir gently

Notes

Use quality black tea for the best flavor.

Toast your ground spices briefly to enhance their flavors.

Do not boil the milk to avoid an unpleasant skin.
