Description

A comforting and quick cajun sausage ravioli easy skillet dinner that combines smoky andouille sausage, cheese ravioli, and a rich tomato sauce, all cooked in one skillet.

Ingredients

Scale

12 oz Andouille sausage, sliced
20 oz Frozen cheese ravioli
14.5 oz Diced tomatoes, canned
1 cup Heavy cream
1 cup Chicken broth
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
4 cloves Garlic, minced
1 medium Bell pepper, diced
1 medium Onion, diced
1 tablespoon Olive oil
1/4 cup Fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced andouille sausage and cook for 4-5 minutes until browned and slightly crispy. Remove the sausage and set aside
  2. Step 2: In the same skillet, add diced onion and bell pepper. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant
  3. Step 3: Sprinkle in the Cajun seasoning and stir to coat the vegetables. Pour in the diced tomatoes with their juices, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer
  4. Step 4: Add the frozen ravioli directly to the skillet. Gently push them down into the sauce. Return the sausage to the skillet. Cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the ravioli are tender
  5. Step 5: Remove the lid and let the sauce thicken slightly, about 2-3 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese before serving

Notes

For a lighter version, use turkey sausage instead of andouille.

You can add vegetables like spinach, zucchini, or mushrooms for extra nutrition.

If using fresh ravioli, reduce cooking time to 4-5 minutes.
