Description

Broccoli and cheese stuffed chicken transforms ordinary chicken breasts into something extraordinary, packing vegetables and protein into one beautiful package. This dish delivers restaurant-quality results without fancy techniques, making it perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale

4 large Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1½ cups Fresh broccoli florets, finely chopped
4 oz Cream cheese, softened
1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
½ teaspoon Onion powder
1 teaspoon Paprika
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Black pepper
2 tablespoons Olive oil
Fresh parsley (optional) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare the broccoli. Steam or blanch the broccoli florets for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp, then chop finely and set aside to cool
  2. Step 2: Make the filling. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, chopped broccoli, half the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly
  3. Step 3: Prepare the chicken. Pat the chicken breasts dry and create a pocket by slicing horizontally into the thickest part of each breast
  4. Step 4: Stuff the chicken. Fill each pocket with the broccoli-cheese mixture and secure with toothpicks if necessary
  5. Step 5: Season the outside. Brush each stuffed chicken breast with olive oil and sprinkle with the remaining garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper
  6. Step 6: Sear for color. Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and sear the stuffed chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brow
  7. Step 7: Bake to perfection. Transfer the skillet to a preheated 375°F oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F

Notes

Pound the chicken evenly for uniform cooking.

Don't overstuff the chicken to prevent cheese leakage.

Use a meat thermometer to ensure proper cooking.
