Description

This best chocolate poke cake with marshmallow combines rich chocolate cake with fluffy marshmallow filling and creamy chocolate frosting. It's easy to make, incredibly delicious, and perfect for any occasion.

1 box (15.25 oz) Chocolate cake mix
3 large Eggs
1/2 cup Vegetable oil
1 cup Water
1 jar (7 oz) Marshmallow fluff
1 can (14 oz) Sweetened condensed milk
2 cups Heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup Cocoa powder
1/4 cup Powdered sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1/2 cup Mini chocolate chips (optional)
1 cup Mini marshmallows (for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan thoroughly
  2. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package directions. Combine the cake mix, eggs, oil, and water in a large bowl. Mix until smooth
  3. Pour the batter into your prepared pan. Bake for 28-32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clea
  4. While the cake bakes, prepare your marshmallow filling. In a medium bowl, combine the marshmallow fluff and sweetened condensed milk. Whisk until smooth
  5. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for exactly 10 minutes
  6. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake, spacing them about an inch apart
  7. Immediately pour the marshmallow mixture over the warm cake, ensuring it fills all the holes
  8. Let the cake cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours
  9. Prepare the chocolate whipped cream topping by beating the heavy cream with cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form
  10. Spread the chocolate whipped cream over the chilled cake. Top with mini marshmallows and chocolate chips if desired
