Description

This beef parmesan tortellini easy 25 minute recipe transforms simple ingredients into restaurant-quality comfort food without the fuss. It combines ground beef, cheese-filled tortellini, and a rich tomato sauce, topped with melted parmesan cheese, all cooked in one pan for minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound Ground beef (80/20 blend)
20 ounces Refrigerated cheese tortellini
24 ounces Marinara sauce
1 cup Beef broth
1 cup Grated parmesan cheese
3 cloves Minced garlic
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon Olive oil
Salt and pepper To taste
Fresh basil (optional) For garnish

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Heat olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat. Once shimmering, add the ground beef. Break it apart with a wooden spoon while cooking. Season generously with salt and pepper. Cook for about 6-7 minutes until browned completely. Drain excess fat if necessary
  2. Step 2: Add minced garlic to the beef. Stir constantly for about 30 seconds until fragrant
  3. Step 3: Pour in the marinara sauce and beef broth. Stir everything together thoroughly. Sprinkle the Italian seasoning over the mixture. Bring the liquid to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to medium
  4. Step 4: Add the refrigerated tortellini directly to the skillet. Gently stir to coat each piece with sauce. Cover the pan with a lid and let simmer for 8-10 minutes
  5. Step 5: Remove the lid and check the tortellini for tenderness. If needed, continue cooking for another 2 minutes. Otherwise, reduce heat to low
  6. Step 6: Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the entire dish. Stir gently until the cheese melts into the sauce
  7. Step 7: Remove from heat and let rest for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil if using. Serve immediately

Notes

Use quality marinara sauce for better flavor.

Freshly grated parmesan melts better than pre-shredded versions.

Keep the tortellini covered while simmering to cook evenly.
