Description

1 tablespoon Sesame oil
3 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Fresh ginger, minced
1 can (8 oz) Water chestnuts, diced
8 ounces Mushrooms, diced
4 stalks Green onions, sliced
3 tablespoons Soy sauce
2 tablespoons Hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
1 tablespoon Honey
1 teaspoon Sriracha (optional)
1 large head Iceberg lettuce


Instructions

  1. Prepare lettuce cups by separating leaves, rinsing gently, and patting dry
  2. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add ground chicken, and cook until no longer pink
  3. Add minced garlic and ginger, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant
  4. Add diced water chestnuts, mushrooms, and half of the green onions, cooking for 3-4 minutes
  5. Whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and sriracha in a bowl
  6. Pour sauce over chicken mixture, stir, and let simmer for 2-3 minutes
  7. Remove from heat, spoon filling into lettuce cups, and garnish with remaining green onions

Notes

Drain excess liquid from the chicken mixture before serving to avoid sogginess.
