This applesauce nut bread is a moist and fragrant loaf made with wholesome ingredients, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.
Ingredients
2 cups All-purpose flour
1 cup Granulated sugar
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Ground cinnamo
1/4 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon Ground cloves
1 1/2 cups Unsweetened applesauce
1/3 cup Vegetable oil
2 large Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 cup Chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pa
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Whisk together thoroughly
- In another bowl, mix the applesauce, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold together until just combined. Fold in the chopped nuts
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula
- Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clea
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely
Notes
Measure flour correctly by spooning it into the measuring cup and leveling it off.
Toast nuts beforehand for enhanced flavor and crunch.
Let the bread cool completely before slicing for cleaner slices.
