Description
This air fryer steak recipe simplifies everything, delivering incredible flavor with minimal cleanup. It produces a tender, flavorful steak that rivals anything from a steakhouse, ready in under 15 minutes.
Ingredients
2 steaks (8-10 oz each) Ribeye or New York strip steaks (1-inch thick)
1 tablespoon Olive oil
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
1 teaspoon Black pepper (freshly ground)
½ teaspoon Garlic powder
2 tablespoons Butter (optional)
2 sprigs Fresh herbs (rosemary or thyme, optional)
Instructions
- Remove your steaks from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking and pat them dry with paper towels
- Brush both sides with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for about 5 minutes
- Place the steaks in the basket without overcrowding and cook for 6 minutes
- Flip the steaks carefully using tongs and continue cooking for another 4-6 minutes depending on desired doneness
- Remove the steaks and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing
