Description
These air fryer chicken bites are crispy, versatile, and quick to prepare, making them a family favorite for busy weeknights. They are healthier than traditional fried chicken and can be served as appetizers, in lunchboxes, or as a main dish.
Ingredients
1.5 pounds Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup All-purpose flour
2 large Eggs
1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon Paprika
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
As needed Cooking spray
Instructions
- Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces, roughly 1-inch cubes
- Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and a mixture of panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in the third
- Coat each chicken piece in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and then press into the breadcrumb mixture
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F for about 3 minutes and spray the basket with cooking spray
- Arrange breaded chicken bites in a single layer in the basket, spray the tops lightly with cooking spray
- Cook for 10 minutes, flip each piece, spray again lightly, and continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F
Notes
For gluten-free, substitute flour with almond flour and use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
For a dairy-free option, omit Parmesan cheese.
