Ingredients
2 large Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup All-purpose flour
2 large Eggs
1 1/2 cups Breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon Paprika
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
As needed Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Step 1: Prepare the chicken. Pat the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels. If your breasts are very thick, slice them horizontally to create thinner cutlets
- Step 2: Set up your breading station. Arrange three shallow bowls. Fill the first with flour, salt, and pepper. Beat the eggs in the second bowl. Combine breadcrumbs, parmesan, garlic powder, and paprika in the third bowl
- Step 3: Bread the chicken. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off excess. Dip it into the beaten eggs, coating completely. Press it firmly into the breadcrumb mixture
- Step 4: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for 3-4 minutes
- Step 5: Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil. Place the breaded chicken breasts in a single layer and spray the tops generously with oil
- Step 6: Air fry at 400°F for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken carefully, spray again with oil, and cook for another 8-10 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F
- Step 7: Let your air fryer breaded chicken breast rest for 5 minutes before serving
Notes
For gluten-free, swap regular breadcrumbs for gluten-free panko and use almond flour instead of all-purpose flour.
For dairy-free, skip the parmesan and add extra seasonings.
